The Evolving Resort 1990- Present

Please pardon the following content as it is a bit detailed! It must be conveyed in order to show how Sapphire Valley Resort evolved.
In the early 1990's, Brookstone Companies and Fairfield Communities entered into an agreement for Brookstone to manage all rental properties on the resort and by 1994, manage the entire resort. The Sapphire Valley Resort continued to mature with each residential area creating Property Owners Associations and working with a Master Associate for management.

On November 2, 2001, Cendant Corporation and Fairfield Communities announced that they have signed a definitive agreement for Cendant to acquire all of the outstanding common stock of Fairfield Communities.
Cendant Corporation also announced that Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, its wholly owned subsidiary and intended parent company of its Hospitality Services ( including Timeshare Resorts) would be spun off into a separate company. “The separation of Wyndham continues to be expected in the summer of 2006”.

During this period, several changes in management and control of the various resort properties occurred. SPM of Myrtle Beach assumed management of the Fox Hunt timeshare units. Shell Vacation Resorts invested in Fox Hunt, purchased 300 weeks and added Fox Hunt to their worldwide network.
The Fairway Forest area continues to be managed by Sapphire Management Company
Wyndham downsized and now manages only the Mountain Laurel timeshare units. Sapphire Valley Resort Amenities are owned by and managed by the Sapphire Valley Master Association. As previously mentioned, this Association represents the various individual Property Owners Associations.
The Sapphire Valley Master Association began construction in early 2011 of their new management offices that will also serve as the new Red Bird Pro Shop.
The new building was opened during the ski season of 2011-2012.
