THE GOLF CLUB

Just a chip shot away is the magnificent par 72 Sapphire Valley Golf Course and Club House. Designed by George W. Cobb, it is renowned in golfing circles as one of the most outstanding mountain courses in America. Its smartly manicured greens of bent grass are generously oversized. Number 7 is more than 20,000 square feet in area . . . one of the largest greens in the country.The course is marked for championship play up to 7,000 yards, but the "Sunday" golfer will find regular play at 6,270 yards pleasantly challenging.Although the course is in a breath-taking mountain setting, there is no more than a 12-foot climb anywhere on the 18 holes. The terrain is rolling but there are no steep hills. The scenery is majestic . . . unsurpassed. Caddies and carts are available.
